UPVC Replacement Door Handles

The handles on your doors get worn out over time and need to be replaced. It is essential to keep the same dimensions as the handles you have previously replaced when replacing them.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently to the lever type handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handles can use a single spindle (inline) or independently from both sides using two inline or offset spindles (pad). If you are unable to measure using the lock in a fixed position, you can take it out of it. It is crucial to ensure that there is no cylindrical lock that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

Most newer cylinders have been made with anti-drill and bump resistance features built into their design. They are designed to decrease the chances of an attack by causing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This can help deflect the attack, and protect your door.

Certain cylinders are made to withstand snapping. This is a more frequent kind of attack on cylinders where the break line in the lock is targeted using a special tool to snap off the front of the cylinder and allow the door to be opened. This is a quicker and easier way to gain access than through the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which could hinder insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found in the base plate of your sliding door handles handle.
